At the Carpentry workshop students are taught how to construct buildings. Students learn identification, use, care and maintenance of carpentry hand tools and portable power tools, learn to make wood joints, framing, scaffolding and timbering, formwork, framing of wooden floor, wall, ceiling and roof. Safety precautions at building site, measurements, foundation and their construction, setting out a building, measurements and dimensions, construction reinforcement, lock types and ladder and trestles safety.

Students also learn basic block laying skills, block types and quantity and mixing mortar, at a tradesman assistant level.
